‘Silhouettes’ shows a new series of photographs by Dutch fashion photography duo FotoFloor. The fascinating images in black and white are based on silhouette paper cuttings, featuring two world famous models: Sonja Wanda and Dioni Tabbers.
‘Haute Coupure’ The development of the series of photographs started with a silhouette portrait of top model Sonja Wanda. The successful cut-out effect became an obsession which has been explored. Simplifying images into pure shapes, with sharp outlines. Beside the old art of silhouette paper cuttings FotoFloor was also inspired by Aubrey Beardsley, Erté, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tom Waits and Jean-Paul Goude. With ‘Haute Coupure’ as surprising result.
Top models and celebrities ‘Silhouettes’ features the international super models Sonja Wanda and Dioni Tabbers. Sonja Wanda, born in Sudan, has worked for fashion designers like Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood. Dutch model Dioni Tabbers appeared in the Italian Vogue, V Magazine and ID Magazine.
