The Dutch-American fashion photographer Rohn Meijer exhibits for the second time at Eduard Planting Gallery in Amsterdam. 'Dreams go on' shows colorful backstage portraits of international supermodels like Carla Bruni, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss and Karen Mulder.
Rohn Meijer has been living in the fashion capital Milan since 1984. He quickly developed a passion for backstage photography. His series 'Dreamgirls' was created in the early 90s, at shows in Milan, Paris and New York. The photos reflect the dynamic and festive atmosphere behind the scenes.
Among his first clients were Franco Moschino and Gianni Versace. For the quirky fashion label Dsquared Rohn Meijer has been active in photographing the summer and winter collections. In recent years he has also worked for Neil Barrett, Diesel, Philipp Plein, Michael Thoms and Trussardi.
Rohn Meijer was born in Amsterdam. As a child he moved to Los Angeles and returned at the age of 22. He studied ceramics at the Rietveld Academy. The photographer makes both fashion series and travel reports. His work has been widely exhibited in Europe and America. And published in many well-known magazines.
