British celebrity photographer Terry O’Neill (born in 1938) has photographed the most legendary stars of stage and screen, including Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Caine, Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, David Bowie and Amy Winehouse. Terry O’Neill is one of the world’s most accomplished and collected photographers whose work hangs in national galleries and private collections worldwide.
Former husband to legendary actress Faye Dunaway, his photograph of her in Beverly Hills, the morning after she won her Best Actress Oscar for ‘Network’, has been nominated as the most iconic Hollywood shot of all time. His photographs of Brigitte Bardot, Jean Shrimpton and Audrey Hepburn capture the charisma of these superstars at the peak of their careers.
Terry O’Neill has chronicled the lives of emerging rock stars and icons of the 1960s. He has also photographed presidents, prime ministers and the British Royal Family. His works have captured both intimate private moments and extravagant public appearances, becoming iconic and highly collectible.
Over the course of his 50-year career, Terry O’Neill has produced covers for TIME Magazine, The Sunday Times Magazine, Newsweek, Paris Match, Vanity Fair and Vogue. His work has delivered eye-catching movie posters, album covers and fashion plates for the world’s top designers.
It’s the first time pictures of Terry O’Neill are shown at an exhibition in The Netherlands. The photographer will attend the opening.
