Sacha Goldberger

Sacha Goldberger, a French photographer born in 1968, made his mark in advertising as an art director. An accomplished artist, he made a name for himself by photographing his grandmother Mamika as a superhero, transforming Hulk and Superman into Flemish paintings in his ‘Super Flemish' series, or shooting the Loubavitchs of Brooklyn in staggering situations tinged with that Yiddish humor that stakes all his series. Mamika has enjoyed international success and is the subject of a book Best off in 2015, many exhibitions worldwide are currently devoted to the Super Flemish series. In his series Meet my Mum, Sacha Goldberger revisits the family in Edward Hooper’s set design with a touch of “Mad Men glamor”.
