Sabrina van den Heuvel - ‘How Soon is Now?’

19 January – 2 March 2013

Striking black and white portraits of singer Peter Doherty and fashion designer Bas Kosters. And a selection of exciting fashion images, as a result of a special collaboration with Mart Visser and Iris van Herpen. The exhibition is from 19 January until 2 March 2013 in Eduard Planting Gallery in Amsterdam.

Sabrina van den Heuvel (1986) has a great passion for classic black and white photography, music and fashion. Her style is characterized by raw, moving images with strong contrasts. Narrative, dynamic photographs with an obscure glamour. ‘Real moments of intensity’. Sabrina is inspired by Herman Brood, The Smiths, Peter Doherty, Vaslav Nijinsky, Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud.

The talented photographer graduated in 2008 from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In 2010 she published her first book ‘Bedroom Diaries’ with erotic photos. Autonomous work of Sabrina has been presented in The Hague Museum of Photography and during art fairs like the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam, PAN Amsterdam, New York Photo Festival and fotofever Brussels.

The show will be opened by fashion designer Bas Kosters, on Saturday 19 January, around 16.30h. Don't miss it!
